And the founding members of CLS assure us they truly remember it well, seeing them smile with nostalgia…

August 20, 2001, was a Monday; the beginning of a business venture.

Two rented rooms, a few computers, a fax machine, and four telephones without a switchboard.

This is how CLS was started, with a great deal of humility and a great desire to grow… or perhaps we should say, a desire to learn.

Who had ever been an entrepreneur?

Excellent operational, sales, and branch managers, yes.

But who had ever been an entrepreneur?

We certainly had a theoretical and instrumental understanding of budget planning or a business plan.

But who had ever experienced the feelings of fear, risk, and being alone in making a final decision?

Insolvent customers? We were certainly well-prepared for legal action.

But the feeling of having been robbed, defrauded, mocked, impoverished—who had ever experienced that?

Thus, Franco, Omar, and Chiara fought, fell, and got back up again for years, acquiring ever greater awareness and knowledge with each fall.

As it continues to grow, CLS is experiencing a new reality of generational change in 2022.

Omar and Chiara open the door and extend their warmest wishes to Mirta Castagnoli, who has inherited from her father Franco a role that will contribute to the company’s near future.
